Hello, I have a fun sail, and one of the batten ends have snapped. Where can I buy new batten ends? The ones from RS only come with a batten set and are usually on there way out by the time I get them. Have been hunting on the net but without much luck
Thanks

you could try Pinnel & Bax , I am sure they had simialr batten material in their loft last time I was there, failing that , the batten pockets will take other types of battens & most sailmakers will be able to supply a similar stiffness cut to length. Interestingly I saw that Gavin Clarke at Swanage has had his fun sail recut to lower the clew & it is a much improved sail. Richard Willows

Thanks Richard. I have emailed Pinnel and Bax. I think I will replace with flat battens, I am having a lot of trouble with the battens, the sail seems wrinkled, but If I tighten them up they just wont pop in light winds (I sail on river so largely light winds).

Hello, Can someone please recommend a sailmaker who could re-cut the fun sail? I need to get the tear repair near the batten pocket as the sail is not sitting well on the batten, so might as well kill two birds with one stone. Thanks (I live in the South East)
